1. Tívat
Stay
About the destination: Tivat is situated in the central part of Boka Kotorska bay. Despite being the newest town in the Boka region, Tivat boasts a wealth of interesting and attractive destinations. The Renaissance Summer House Buca in the city centre, Ostrvo Cvijeca (island of flowers) with its sacred monuments, Gornja Lastva, the old core at an altitude of 300 m, the stunning beach at Plavi Horizonti and the island of Sv. Nikola are all tourist destinations that should be visited in Tivat. Within the city itself lies the natural marina Kaliman. Tivat is also the only place on the coast with an airport. There's also a selection of cultural events, such as the Bocarska Olympiad and Ljetnje Feste. However, there's one top spot you must visit – Porto Montenegro. Today, Tivat is one of the hottest tourist spots in the Mediterranean, thanks to Porto Montenegro – a new modern marina for luxury yachts, with an incredible settlement behind it. Porto Montenegro Born from the vision of its main investor, Canadian businessman Peter Munk, Porto Montenegro's state-of-the-art marina makes use of the existing infrastructure of the former Yugoslav naval facility on which it is built. It will feature 630 berths for yachts, including the largest superyachts, and will provide the highest level of service and amenities for vessels of all sizes – including nearby dry-dock and repair facilities. In addition, the development will create a vibrant coastal community of waterfront residences, hotels and restaurants, shopping, water sports and leisure facilities. But this is only part of the story – the rest is the destination itself. Porto Montenegro is located within one of the world's most idyllic nautical playgrounds: the Bay of Kotor. A UNESCO World Heritage site, the Bay of Kotor is Europe's southernmost fjord and the largest natural harbour in the eastern Mediterranean. "Yachts are getting bigger and bigger and people are complaining that they can't find proper berths for them. That's no problem in Tivat. It used to cater to warships." Peter Munk, Chief Investor, Porto Montenegro.

Stay
About the destination: Kotor is a coastal town in Montenegro. It's situated in a secluded part of the Gulf of Kotor. It's located on the Bay of Kotor (Boka Kotorska), one of the most indented parts of the Adriatic Sea. Along with the nearly overhanging limestone cliffs of Orjen and Lovćen, Kotor and its surrounding area form an impressive and picturesque Mediterranean landscape. Kotor is part of the World Heritage Site known as the Natural and Culturo-Historical Region of Kotor. MAIN TOURIST ATTRACTIONS • Old Town. The Old Town is the most famous part of Kotor, where the history, culture, and tradition of Kotor are preserved. They are complemented by a multitude of narrow streets, squares, and markets. The main and largest square is Trg od oruzja (Square of arms). The old town of Kotor today is considered to be the best preserved medieval urban entity in the Mediterranean. • Maritime Museum. The memories of those long gone sailing days and years, the successes of the famous Kotor seaman, artists, ship builders, crafts man, states man, and diplomats, intermediaries between west and east, are kept in the Maritime museum, which is housed in the baroque palace Grgurin. • The Island Gospa od Skrpjela. The Island Gospa od Skrpjela is one of two beautiful islands in Kotor Bay, which are situated in the bay across from Perast. That island is also known as "the island of the dead captains". The Island Gospa od Skrpjela is an artificial island, made by seaman from Perast and Kotor, who on their big sail boats brought in large boulders.
